****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for calling into the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali. And a fresh round of photos courtesy from our good friends at Hendra surf photography.
This mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing a nice little increase in size, well enough to produce some fun little head to slightly over head waves on Middle Reef. The tide was still too low for Kuta Reef and Airport Left, but there was also waist to chest high set waves on them as well.
Looking for a wave today, well the morning was the time to be in the water and you would have found some fun at the low tide reef breaks like Middle Reef, Bingin, Impossoible’s and of course the Racetrack section of Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions at the time was pretty good with hardly any wind for clean a glassy waves. But around 10.00AM the wind did start to increase in strength coming out of the SSW upto 10-12knots. Virtually on-shore at all surfing locations around the island.
Tidal info for today had a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00AM then filling in for a 2.2mtr High @ 12.00 noon and another 0.3mtr Low around 5.30PM.
Weather wise we got off to a warm and sunny strat to the day and now at noon there is a few clouds moving over with the temperature sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-land Surf Camp was saying that wave height had also jumped into the 3-4ft+ range this morning. A lot of happy surfers over in camp this morning and 20 of them in the water between Money Tree’s and the Pad at the time of the report.
Swell Prediction; Well if the swell forecast for Indonesia is on track we should see a new swell starting to show sometime of Friday. Producing waves all through the weekend. Then right behind this one we should have another swell riding in on the back for Monday and Tuesday.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok crew that’s all there is for today, tomorrow I’ll be off-line for the day taking my family up to visit the parents mountain side village.
Best Regards from Bali
