****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Bali, Sunday morning. Blood shot eyes and heavy headed. Checking the surf with the foul stench of Tequilla soaked breath. Not much too say except 1-2ft of swell showing between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Wind is out of the NW @ 3-5knot and will more than likely swing further around to the WSW by midday.
Weather wise we are off to a warm and humid start with the temperature already around 29 degree’s Celsius @ 11.00am.
****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
6th Feb ’10
Hi surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the latest news and photos of todays surfing and weather conditions here on the one stop, got it, all surfing holiday island of Bali.
Well yesterday we had decided on surfing back over at Keramas, seeing as we’d already had a couple of good sessions there through the week. Arriving just as the tide was on the make and at least 30 surfers already in the water. And just as a solid storm was about to un leash on us. Which helped clear the line-up to a more respectable number of 15 surfers. As soon as the initial rain burst finished the wind switched back to the NW blowing clean off-shore. As ya’s can see in the photos wave height was a very playful head to well over head and peeling off perfectly. We hung out until 5.00pm and when we packed up there was only a handful of surfers left for the last hour or so of daylight and still plenty of perfect little runners peeling off.
Weather wise there was the odd burst of blue sky but she was mainly over cast and raining.
We are calling a “layday” tomorrow after non stop waves over the last two and a half weeks. But call back into the baliwaves again tomorrow for the start of another surfing week here in the real surfers paradise of Bali. Catch ya’s then.
