****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
A big hello to everyone that’s tuning into the baliwaves (’99) for our 1 click run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the always in season surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf recon on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a bit more, but still showing in the waist to head high plus sector between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The wind was coming out of the NW so we decided to hang out for awhile and then cruise over to Serangan for an afternoon paddle.
As you’ve already seen in today’s photo gallery there was still some head to double head high freak sets hitting Serangan with clean and glassy conditions. Plenty of waves coming through straight out the front of the beach with a crowd of around 40 surfers.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.8mtr Low around 8.30AM and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High through mid afternoon.
Weather wise the day started off perfectly with light wind and blue sky that lasted pretty well most of the day. Just now there are some nasty looking black clouds moving in with a big chance of rain later this evening.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.
We’ve also been playing around with our “Surf Spots” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
Best Regards in Surfing
