****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
Well this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was not looking too good. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left would have been only just busting the knee to knee high plus mark. But surfing conditions were clean and the ESE Tradewind was already blowing off shore wind. No surfers needles to say were in the water (6.45AM)
But the boys still wanted to get wet so we headed back down to Uluwatu. Even still with the tiny swell on offer we were lucky enough to get in for a quick paddle. Wave height was waist to shoulder high plus with clean surfing conditions even though the wind was howling up to 20knot+ under the shelter of the cliff face. As the tide started to fill in it was pretty much all over and hardly breaking. Crowd wise there would have been around 40 surfers spread from Temple’s all the way down to the top of the Racetrack.
Tidal info for today had a 2.6mtr High @ 11.30AM and then draining out for a 0.1mtr Low around the 6.00PM mark
Weather wise it was a wet morning but soon cleared up for just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Right now outside at 3.30PM the temperature would still easily be in the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Changing dollars (Aussie) to Rupiah you’ll have no trouble finding Rp9,050 on the streets of Kuta.
The latest news from G-Land, thanks to the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height in the shoulder to head high plus range breaking on Kong’s and Money Tree’s. Clean surfing conditions and only 3 surfers in the water on Money’s at 9.00AM East Java time.

Hi Rob, just head for Kuta in Lombok and I’m sure you will hook up with surfers that are already over there. It’s not a big place where the surfers hang out.
