****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and a very big thank you for stopping by the baliwaves.com, the original Bali surf and weather report since 1999. Ok so I’ve been on the ear operation programe over in Australia the last 4 weeks. It’s a complicated process and it took that long just to get to see an ear specialist, I have to return in late June for the actual op. But when surfing has dominated someone’s lifestyle for the last 40 years only death can drown out the sound of the surf.
Anyway I suppose you guys and girls only want to know what’s going down surf wise here on the with out a doubt best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar of Bali, right.
Well since I’ve been home the weather has been real nice, especially after one of the coldest summers on history back in Oz. Unfortunately wave height has been ranging half a foot up to 2 feet here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Especially when the wind has been blowing clean off shore out of the ESE the last few days. I was speaking with my old friend Devis Ratif last yesterday and out of despoeration he surfed down at Uluwatu in the morning. Devis reckons it was surfable but only in the waist to waist high plus sector.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban had wave height in the ankle to knee high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Wind direction at the time was coming lightly out of the SW @ 2-3knot.
Tidal information for today has us down for a 1.3mtr High peaking at 7.00AM and then running out for a 1.1mtr Low around the 12.30PM mark.
Weather wise right now at 9.00AM we have a partly cloudy sky with the outside temperature sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity at 89%. Wind direction is still coming out of the SW at 3-4knot. Sunrise was at 6.22AM and will set at 6.44PM.

Hey thanks for the positive news Matt !
It looks like I’ll be heading back to the specialist in late June / July for the drill. I tell ya I’m pretty excited about having it done. For The last 25yrs I’ve had the ear infections from HELL and they don’t care where the water comes in from, be it the ocean, pool, shower, sweat, rain etc. Just one bloody drop……………

Best thing you’ll ever do Slim. I had both done last year after putting it off for as long as I could. My left was 90% shut and right 80% so hearing was tough in a noisy room. I was out of the water for 6-8 weeks after each op. No more infections and the water drains beautifully, sometimes it still needs a bit of persuasion. Ask the Dr to stitch and not staple…having the staples pulled out sucks. Hope it goes well for you.

Cheers Willow I’ll remember the staples bro !!!!
6-8weeks would be a small price to pay I reckon, I’d gladly sell out to the devil for an instant cure !
