BALI
24th December 2012
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (Bali’s original surf report website since 1999) before everything starts shutting down in anticipation of Santa Claus’s arrival later tonight. For a quick run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
This morning the crew and I headed for the East Coast around 6.45Am, with a NW West wind and rising tide. Our first surf check was at “Secrets” where the lads had a quick paddle. Surfing conditions here were clean and tidy, wave height in the waist to head high plus sector and a light off shore wind. There were also another 10 surfers already here before us. There was some tidy little left and rights with other empty waves to the north and south. But as the tide filled in the waves were becoming less consistent.
So from there we though we’d stop in at Keramas for a quick look and an icy cold mango juice at my favorite little local warung. Wave height here was also in the same range but a little bit more consistent and a little more crowded, with 16 surfers on the main break and another 6 on the car park section.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny one here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 2.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius with the wind out of the WSW at 7-11knot.
Ok crew we certainly wish you all a very Merry Christmas for 2012. We’ll be back again real soon, maybe not tomorrow, depending how much Christmas cheer I drink after lunch. Take care and Yo Ho Ho !!!
