OAKLEY BALI PRO TRIALS
Day 2
Another hell for leather exhibition of surfing went down yesterday up at Canggu on Day 2 of the Oakley Pro Bali Trials. Once again more nice competition style waves were coming through consistently on the right hand river mouth break in the chest to well over head high range. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy but gradually deteriorated as the SE Tradewind increased in strength.
Once again I’ve just loaded these photos in the order that I shot them, Really bad light conditions for the 1000mm lens I was using with hardly any sunshine through out the days competition.

Today the 16th and the contest is taking a break and will resume tomorrow the 17th at Keramas beach. So you had better make sure your up there to cheer on the local surfers for that lifetime chance on getting a wildcard entry into the main event.
Baliwaves.com is stoked to be part of the media team here in Bali and we’ll be doing our best to bring you part of the action.
Sunday morning surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing some nice waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the waist to over head range. The tide was just about on the bottom of a 1.0mtr low tide at the time so Middle Reef was looking the best and biggest. But there was still around a dozen surfers on Kuta Reef and another handful down on Airport Left.
Now at 11.00AM the sky is starting to clear up and looking like being a hot old afternoon here on the holiday island. Wind direction is coming out of the ESE at 10knot. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius.

By the way the photos we load on baliwaves are edited in LOW RESOLUTION which means low quality so I can get them loaded up for one thing. Feel free to copy them but don’t expect a good quality print, all the original full resolution files are on my computer for the asking.
