Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollar destination on Bali.
Well as you might already know, that is if you have already looked through today’s 97 new photos. That it was indeed cranking down at Uluwatu yesterday. Our first stop yesterday morning was for a quick surf check on Balangan, with conditions the way they were we thought we might have had a chance for a few sly ones. Surfing conditions were perfect at Balangan but the waves were just a little in consistent.
So we did the bolt down to Uluwatu and as usual it was cranking on the Peak and Temple sections. As it shows in the photos wave height was easily in the double head high plus on the set waves. Plenty of long and deep tube rides was going down on Temple’s. As the tide started dropping around midday the Racetrack was also starting to show some odd’s on form as well, and I’m sure it would have been going off mid afternoon. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy all day with off shore wind.
Weather wise there was some cloud hanging around down on the south end of the island through the morning clear and sunny by midday. The next Moon phase will be a Full Moon coming up on the 21st of this month.
Swell wise it looks like wave height will be backing off over the next 2-3 days before we see another medium sized swell turn up in Bali. Then fingers crossed we will have a couple more back to back swells arriving, with more swell behind this. Better get those tickets to Bali booked ASAP.

What happened to the topless beaches in Bali? I visited the island in 1998 and the ladies of were not shy with their puppies, especially at crowded Kuta beach. Now it’s not like that at all.
