BALI / INDONESIA
19th September 2016
Hi folks and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you amped up for your next Bali surf trip since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week. And our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday adventure, Bali.
Ok so like it reads 4 x 4 over on the East coast this morning, wave height was a couple a feet over head putting it in the 4ft range and the lips were pitching out at least 4ft where I was at Keramas. There were some perfect waves dredging off the ledge and some deep tube rides going down. I reckon there would also have been plenty of skin and ego left to feed the fish as well with some nasty wipe outs over a shallow volcanic rock bottom. I arrived around the 8.00AM mark to find 20 odd surfers already in the water and by the time I left at 9.30AM there was now 40 surfers and some drop in mayhem going down.
40 surfers in the water at Keramas when it’s not even the season for it yet. It starts to get crowded at this place with 20 surfers on it. The developers in this area are far from finished either with some massive building going up down near the captive dolphin pool, and right in front of the wave they are going up higher again.
Weather wise so far today it’s been just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Temperature wise right now at 1.30PM the mercury is on 32Celsius, Humidity is at 82%. Wind direction has been coming out of the SE – SSE since around 9.00AM and now at 8 – 12knot.
Alright friends stay tuned to the original Bali surf report cause we will be back out there on the wave hunt for you again tomorrow. Another day and another location ok.
