Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.

Ok so yesterday I had get some normal human stuff done, like renewing the car registration for another year for starters. Just for the record a family type car or van costs us around AU$310.00 for the year with no inspection necessary. BTW you won’t see too many, if any wrecks / un road worthy cars on the road in Bali.

This morning with fading swell we thought we had better take a run down to Uluwatu and see if there were any waves running down the Racetrack section before the mid morning crowd arrived. As it shows in today’s photo gallery there were a few waves with the odd head high set waves. The photos do make it look a little better than it actually was I guess. But any day at Uluwatu is a good one right. Low numbers in the water on the morning low tide but as soon as the tide started to fill back in, like most locations on the bukit the crowd soon turned up.

Weather wise we had some early morning rain and there was some cloud still hanging around when we turned up. But by mid to late morning it was basically hot and sunny down at Ulu.

Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying we can expect a little bump in wave height which will be well received. The wind will more than likely be light and variable early before the ESE Trade wind starts to kick in around 8.30 – 9.00am.

Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Bali, –1US$=Rp14,125 –1AU$=Rp9,525 —
NB travelling to Bali then bringing CASH money is the way to go in high denominations. I used an ATM yesterday (Commonwealth Bank) and got a poorly rate of 1AU$=Rp8,990 Plus then there’s the risk of having your card skimmed. Cash is always best !
