Hello surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.

Ok so we’ve had a fairly quite weekend, well Saturday anyway I wasn’t feeling too red hot so just kicked back at home and did nothing for a change. I could get used to that, but it wouldn’t pay the bills I don’t think.

But this morning the 27th and I was feeling at least 80% better than yesterday and decided to make the trip back over top the East Coast. We were going to head down to Uluwatu for the final day of the Uluwatu Boardriders Challenge but thought there would already be enough photographers, cinematographers, drone pilots, Insta posts and we would get to see it all later anyway.

So we went to Keramas where I knew it would be cranking, and cranking it certainly was. As it shows in our current photo gallery wave height on the sets was easily in the double head high range, although there wasn’t a hell of a lot of set waves it was a super consistent, non stop 4ft. Only around 20 surfers in the water and clean as can be conditions with the wind only a breath out of the ESE-SE while we were on the scene between 7.20am – 10.00am. As the the tide passed through the High and started to run back out it really turned on the tube rides for a lucky few who got shacked off their heads.

Weather wise out side today it’s been nothing but hot and sunny, right now at 2.20pm the temperature is on 30 Celsius, Humidity is at 66% and the UV index on 8. Wind direction is SE with gusts up to 25km/h.

I also managed to shoot a bucket full of HD video footage as well this morning so as soon as I get that all sorted out I’ll throw a new clip together for you.

Money saving tip, If you plan on riding around chasing waves in Bali on a motorcycle / scooter then make sure you wear a helmet and have a valid license for Indonesia ! Lately I’ve seen major road side license check points on both sides of the island. If your on a bike and especially if you have a surfboard then you will be stopped. These days your not going to pull it off with a 5-10 dollar on the spot donation, the times and the fines they are a changing big time.

Don’t forget to take care using your cards in the ATm’s be alert. Remember cash is always the best way to travel and will always get you the highest exchange rate !
