BALI / INDONESIA
29th January 2020
Welcome surfers and lovers of Bali and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (Bringing you all the good things from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions here on the island of the Gods, and the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination and gateway to Indonesia’s surfing paradise, Bali.
Alright this morning I was expecting / hoping to see a forecasted bump in wave height, not a lot but just enough to see a few waves grinding on the Canggu Sandbar. The only obstruction was going to be the early morning low tide but that didn’t really effect it. I arrived at 8.00am after keeping my cool through the morning grid lock from the Berawa turn off to the Batu Bolong turn off. Surfing conditions were still clean and glassy that hung in there through until 9.30am when the wind started to puff lightly out of the SW.
I’ve said it all before, and I really do take extra extra care driving in and out from the Batu Bolong turn off. On the way out today I pulled up at the T intersection where Dylan used to have his surf shop and BANG one second later a tourist with long board on the bike racks rode someones (rented) motorbike straight into a telegraph pole next to me.. Lucky he was only going slow cause he lost it and was only dressed in board shorts, no helmet. Don’t be like this guy peeps please.
Weather wise today it’s been another hot one here along Bali’s West Coast. Right now at 2.50pm the temperature is on 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 69%. Wind direction now is fresh out of the W-WSW with gust up to 20kmh.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is telling me that we might even see another small bump in size or at least similar to this morning. I also think the run of light variable wind we have had might also be coming to an end for awhile and a return of fresh W-WSW wind. Further out a new swell should start to show around Bali on Friday.

Here’s another thing that might interest some of the ex-pats with young children living here in Bali that might be interested in having their kids learn to play a musical instrument (drums, guitar, base guitar or piano) instead of just playing games on phones. Sound interesting then send us an email today and get your children into music. Contact us for more information email link here

I bet he was sipping a frappalattee and the longboard had a spongy deck.
Nah, looked like an Aussie with no shirt on and solid build, regular long board dude…
