BALI SURF & WEATHER REPORT
26th – 27th September 2020
A BIG hello to everyone tuning in, and a SPECIAL hello to our friends that really know us and have shown us the much needed support through this extremely tough mentally and physically time. We are going into our 9th month of no income and I’m sure you would be able to work out how hard that would be. It is only through your help that we are keeping everything together keeping the lights on and food on the table.
I’d also like to add a big thanks to my computer for living another day for another report.
Alright yesterday the 26th and all Balinese Hindu were very busy through the morning mostly with our final ceremony for Galungan which is called Kuningan. So I never got down for a surf check on the Reefs until early afternoon. It was nice to see a good bump in size and a cross mostly off shore wind on it. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport left was in the 3-4ft+ range. The tide was rolling in and there were some very nice and almost perfect waves hitting Kuta Reef. It was pretty clean on KR due to the waves wrapping back onto the reef and more into the wind. I counted 16 surfers in the water on KR. I had planned on just chilling out all day but was talked into going out for a quick couple of hours troll behind the reefs with our Family Dentist. I’m glad we did as we picked up a nice 4-5kg GT for our effort.
Weather wise yesterday in the South Kuta area it was nice and mostly sunny with a midday high temperature around the 30 degree Celsius mark.
We also received a hot off the press surf report and photos from our friends down at SwellBali located over looking Bingin and pretty much the whole South coast of the island. Bingin was also delivering some perfect waves on the lower end of the day.
Light offshore winds, and fun sized waves here in Bingin & Impossibles. Good sized overhead + waves at Uluwatu.
Seems every week the crowds are getting thinner here as people seem to be leaving the islands. In the weekends there are visitors from Canggu and surrounding area’s.

Today the 27th and our surf check on the Outer Reefs this morning was still showing some nice fun sized head high waves breaking out between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time the tide was on the top so Kuta Reef and Airports were looking the best. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore Easterly wind. Airport left was looking the best at the time and it would be a safe call to say Middle Reef will be good through midday if the wind sticks to the E-SE.
Weather wise right now at 9.45am we have a mostly blue sky out there and the temperature is perfect at 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 78%. Wind direction is still pretty well straight off shore out of the East, only light though at 5-9km/h.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 0.5mtr Low at 1.51pm
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for a slight drop in wave height but I think there will still be plenty of fun sized waves on offer to start our week here in Bali. The wind is also predicted to be a little stronger out of the E-SE. But at this time of the year it’s really a wait and see deal. Looking a bit further out hopefully we will see a little more swell hitting Bali’s reefs and beach breaks late on the 29th or early on the 30th.
Ok friends thanks again for tuning into the original Bali surf report website and we will be back with more shortly. Please don’t forget if you can spare a buck or two it is much needed right now, thanks !
