BALI SURF & WEATHER REPORT
3rd – 4th June 2021
Hello Bali people and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since 1999, for surfers by surfers) We hope everyone is doing the best they can in order to get this crazy World back on track and life and lifes back to where they were before this pandemic began. I’m sure you all know that Bali’s most well know area’s namely Kuta / Legian are still like ghost towns with most doors closed and way too many for sale / rent signs on display.
Your average group of Aussies come to Bali for the easy going attitude of the Balinese that is similar to theirs. Being able to let their hair down. Cheap shopping, Bali tee shirts and sarongs, nasi / mie goreng and free flowing massage and bintangs. With the “new wave” of European millennials rapidly bringing their PC culture to Bali it’s going to be interesting to see how the two mesh. But it’s still a ways off from happening with our highly valued Aussie Bali holiday crews still locked down, but hopefully soon Kuta will be revitalised again.
If any of our friends out there can spare us a dollar it would shore make a big difference for my family. If you can please click this link to get to our PayPal link or contact us directly, Thank You.
Hello again and just a quicky this afternoon as the day has got away from me. But just to reassure you all that you haven’t been missing much the last few days as wave height has been back down in the 1-3ft class (knee to head high at best). Yesterday the 3rd and my fishing buddy and I were out trying to catch some fish to feed the families. We actually did have a little luck and managed to take home a couple of nice fish. My freezer has a healthy supply of Spanish Mackerel and Wayan’s is full full of Tuna steaks.
But pushing out past Airport Left just after dawn there were 3 learner surfers in the line up with wave height around the waist high mark. Not much happening on the Outer reefs at all. But further down South between Balangan and Uluwatu there were some crazy crowds. I reckon Uluwatu would have had at least 80 surfers in the water with wave height an honest head high.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy most of the morning with the ESE Trade wind not kicking in until around 11.30am.
Today the 4th of June and not much has changes with my morning surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban only showing a weak 1-2ft_ breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left. The wind was light and variable out of the WNW early before dedicating to the ESE around 10.30am.
Weather wise early overcast sky clearing away mid morning for another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Mid day temperature peaked at 30 degree’s Calsius and the Humidity hot 69%.
Tomorrows surf Forecast is looking pretty much the same as today with small waves here along the West Coast.
Further out the Long Range Forecast is not showing much until the 7th for just a small bump in wave height and then a better swell finding it’s way up through the Indian Ocean around the 11th of June.
Ok sorry for the rushed up date and tomorrow my wife and I are scheduled in for our second shot of the AZ vaccine so I probably won’t be feeling to crash hot afterwards. But I will get down the beach for a Video Surf & Weather report so keep an eye on or FB and Insta accounts for that.
Thanks again for tuning into the original Bali surf and weather report. If any of our friends out there can spare us a dollar it would shore make a big difference for my family. If you can please click this link to get to our PayPal link or contact us directly, Thank You.
Hey and don’t forget if anyone here in Bali wants some where clean, comfortable and discrete to stay walking distance to Kuta Reef / Airport left just drop me a line and we can arrange it. Sure you can go stay in a big empty falling apart hotel and be a stranger. Here at our place you are treated like family. You get all the benefits of our un biased knowledge of surf / fishing information. Plus get to eat real Balinese food from one of the best Balinese / Indonesian chefs on the island (my wife) as guests at our table.
