Bali Surf & Weather report
18th September 2021
Hello everyone and thanks for staying in touch with your No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali through us here at baliwaves.com. It’s been a very up and down last 22 months since we haven’t had our regular native English-speaking guests and visitors from Australia / America / NZ and England due to the pandemic. Hopefully that is going to change soon the way the World vaccination programs have been running. We really want to Thank all our friends and supporters for all the help that you have given us to help get us this far, we are almost through this. Please don’t give up on us through this last leg of “containment” So if you could spare a dollar or two (every dollar makes a difference) then hit this link https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/08/baliwaves-needs-your-support/
Ok well the ESE-SE Trade wind has been blowing hard out on the reefs between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Usually kicking in around 9.00am and building up to 20knot+ by late morning. Today was no change but at least we did see a slight bump in wave height. So as it shows in today’s photo gallery I jumped in the boat and motored out to the channel alongside Kuta reef.
With the wind blowing it’s guts out it must have been tricky out there for the 20-30 surfers that made the effort to get out there. Also, with the moon phase in the middle the tide wasn’t the best but still enough water over this living coral reef break. Not a lot of tube rides today but there were some long walls to ride for a good 70 – 80mtrs.
Weather wise today we had some quite heavy rain fall through the early hours of the morning before clearing up at 10.00am. I had my shirt off out in the boat to soak up that Vitamin D and managed to get a little more than I needed, if you know what I mean. Right now, at 4.30pm it’s still mostly blue sky but we might get a little more rain through the night. It is that time of the year again.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast for Sunday is looking a little better with wave height expected to add on another 1-2ft from today’s chest to slightly over head. Surfing conditions will be at their best early before the Trade wind kicks in.
That’s about me for today friends and hopefully it is only a matter of months before all our friends can get back here to their favorite surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Ok we really need to give our heartfelt deepest Thanks to everyone who has helped us continue to survive over here with no income of our own for the best part of 2 years. Hopefully we are getting through the worst of things, fingers crossed I guess because we have been saying that since day 1. Maybe 2022 will see the return of visitors to Bali with the World vaccination program making good progress. So Thanks folks for helping us get this far and not too much further to go
So please if any of our friends can spare a dollar or two or order an original baliwaves tee shirt (also now in long sleeve) you would not only be helping my family out but also others in the production sequence. https://www.baliwaves.com/2021/06/help-baliwaves-get-through-the-bali-corona-virus-cash-flow-crisis-with-a-rp90000-original-baliwaves-tee-shirt/

You get all the benefits of our un biased knowledge of surf / fishing information. Plus get to eat real Balinese food from one of the best Balinese / Indonesian chefs on the island (my wife) as guests at our table.
