Hi folks and thanks for staying tuned into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since 1999). Ok so as you would have guessed there hasn’t been too many waves happening here since our last up date, it’s just that time of the year. This year is starting off so far very lean in the wave department. But I’m sure we are going to be seeing those long lines starting to show on the horizon in the not-too-distant future.
Anyway, the last 2 days have been a very welcomed relief for us surfers here in Bali. Right on time as forecasted we saw a nice bump in wave height with direction more from the Southern quadrant. We have put in a few miles since yesterday and managed to score some very nice waves in mostly ranging in the 3-4ft+ range, or head to well over head high.
Early morning clean and glassy conditions and even a touch of the good stuff, off shore wind. Yesterday was a delivering a little better size but with a big crowd of 32 surfers. While today at the same place with only slightly smaller wave height we surfed with 6 other surfers.
Weather wise it has been mostly overcast and did have a nasty squall blow through the Kuta / Legian area yesterday afternoon. Right now at 3.00pm we have a very warm 31 degrees Celsius still in place with the Humidity at 76%. Wind direction is now coming out of the WSW @ around 6-8knot.

Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for similar sized waves as we had today, wind direction will be mostly light and variable again.
We also have our first Aussie surfer / guest staying with us in more than 2 years. Our man did his 4-day part quarantine and passed all tests with flying colours to be given a free pass to come and surf the best of what Bali has on offer with us. I’m going to get “Jono” to give us a kind of interview and let you all know how to deal with getting back to Bali and everything you need to know and have beforehand. But fingers crossed the 4-day semi quarantine for double or triple vaccinated guests will soon be a memory.
