Hello again and time for another Bali surf n weather update. Yesterday the 29th and we forged our way back up the West Coast to you know where. Seeing as though it was good to us a couple of days before hand we though why not. Maybe you have already ay the short one wave video clip I posted on our face book page ? We arrived a little late but still in time to score some 4-5ft+ perfection. Well to me I’d call it perfect, especially if you like open walls with some lip that peel off for a couple of hundred mtrs. It was also very nice arriving to find only 6 surfers in the water and that make it all the more sweeter. As the morning went on, being a Sunday, the crowd did slowly pick up to maybe 25 surfers scattered over a few different sections.
Weather wise it was a bit over cast early but cleared up for a warm and sunny afternoon. Clean off shore North wind early before settling to the W-SW.
In today’s photo gallery I’ve thrown in a bit of a compilation from both the East Coast and West Coast. Seeing as though I had a few photos I hadn’t shown you from a few days back.
Today the 30th and so far here in South Kuta it’s a great looking day coming on for Bali. Nothing but blue sky as far as I can see. Contrary to the wind forecast right now at 8.50am it is coming out of the East but is predicted to swing around to the W-WSW later in the day, similar to yesterday. I haven’t had time for a surf check as yet but that is high up on my list of priorities. So keep an eye out for my video report on FB in the not too distant future this morning. I do think there would still be a few waves about on both sides of the island this morning.
The next tide today will be a solid 2.4mtr High at 9.30am. We also have a New Moon rising tonight so expect more big tidal ranges over the following few days.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is saying we can expect a small drop off in wave size. Swell direction is still SW on a 12-13 second period. Wind wise the dry season is still not quite with us yet so more light and variable wind from NNE right around to WSW through out the day.
Ok thanks for your time this morning and time for me to tidy up and hit the beach. I’ve also got a big day on the tools sanding back the hull of my old fishing boat and giving her a couple of fresh layers of fiber glass, among other stuff. So it’s all systems go for this little black duck.
Again, I want to express Many Many Thanks to everyone that has helped my Family and i survive through this crisis, I don’t know where we would be without your help to get this far.
