Hi friends we really want to thank everyone who has helped us get through the pandemic and total lack of income. I’m so happy to see the speed at which Bali is coming back into swing again. Ok well the weekend has been run and done and back to the start of another surfing week here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination. Here are the photos from Saturday, yes, sorry but we hit a bit of a road block yesterday afternoon. After some friendly persuasion I ended up drinking a couple of sun set beers down on the beach with my feet in the sand. I guess if you can’t goof off a little bit in the surfing industry it wouldn’t be called the surfing industry right.
But as it shows in the shots it was super clean and glassy, maybe even light off shore at times and pumping. That has summed up the East Coast the last week with that “light and variable wind” playing a big part. We did actually spend our Sunday back at the very same location and it was pretty much the same as it has been all week. Maybe just a little bit bigger. Slightly more surfers in the water being a Sunday but still only around 20-25 surfers spread through the take off sections.
Weather wise it was also a lot better again and mostly just bloody hot and sunny with a random shower thrown in.
Today the 24th and I had to get up early and drop off a friend at the airport for an early flight to get him to Sumatra and a date with the 7 ghosts. So by the time I got back home at 4.55am I jumped straight back into bed. But Ketut was down for a 6.30am surf check on the Outer reefs and was calling 2-4 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Nb; Ketut is very conservative on his wave height calls so I’d expect it to be a little bigger. I’ve opted to stay home and (try) catch up on photo edits emails and surf reports instead.
Weather wise outside today it’s been a mixed bad. Early morning West wind and light rain has cleared away to hot and sunny with a W – WNW wind. Temperature wise now at 12.10pm it’s on 30C with the Humidity at 80%. I can also see some big fat grey clouds over to the far ESE.
The next tide today will be a 0.2mtr Low at 3.09pm We also have a Full Moon rising tomorrow night (25th)
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast has the models predicting a little bump in wave height through out this afternoon and into tomorrow. Early morning light NW – WNW wind getting fresh through the afternoon.
Alright time for lunch and hopefully I’ll be able to get down the beach for an afternoon surf check. If your looking for a change in climate and an investment oportunity then check out this offer below

Breaking News Department. Petrol has jumped 30% in price from the 4th of September so be prepared for slight increases in all prices on just about everything here in Bali. The first of the increases was LPG, our 7kg refills have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.

Ketut has the report under control.
He has taken me to one or two waves where no one was surfing in the past.\Say g;day from me next time you speak Jim.
This year was not much for me. Two years out of the water, two years of water under the bridge and a couple of visits to the surgeon meant that I was well below strength. Anyhow, I am in the gym and working up stamina and strength for next year.
Doc
Have done so Doc, Ketut lives here at my place with his Family. I hope you get back in the water and love your determination. I’ve also been out for 3 months now and still live in hope damaging a ligament in my knee. Slow improvement… Keep us in the loop on your next visit mate
