Hi everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves for the latest news and best views on today’s surfing and weather conditions. Direct from your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination. Life is always better in Bali !

Hello Bali people, yesterday the 27th and we snuck back to.. Berawa for another early morning session. By early I mean first light and is always my favorite time of the day to get out in the water and beat the casuals. We did ok and our first glimpse of the ocean was showing chest to well over head high waves with a clean off shore wind. There was how ever already 1 surfer in the water and another paddling out as we made our way into position. This wave is very tidal and after the tide bottomed out and started to roll back in a couple of hours later wave height virtually dropped away to almost nothing.

Weather wise yesterday was a a little weird. Early morning blue sky and warm temperature that turned into early afternoon heavy rain for maybe 20mins and then finishing off with a thunder and lightning show around sunset.

Today the 28th and for sure we were again on route to our primary destination pre sun rise. I was confident that we would at least see some perfect head high waves, so it was a nice little bonus to see some over head high set waves with almost perfect shape. As we paddled over to the waves we were greeted by a nice friendly group of 3 surfers. It’s always a nice change to see smiling faces in the surf. Our 3 friends this morning were a Kiwi, and Aussie and a Pom. So with a total of 5 and reasonably spread out it was game on. Sorry we couldn’t get any photos of today with no GoPro. Hopefully by next year I’ll be able to get one.

Weather wise it was board shorts and bikini’s in the water this morning with a good coating of sunscreen. Right now at 2.10pm there is a little cloud starting to show up but it’s still a warm 32 degree’s Celsius, with the humidity at 76%. Early this morning the wind was a light NW that tended NE then East around 9.00am Right now it is back to the West at 15km/h.

Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for just a slight bump in size tomorrow with the period extending ton16 seconds. Wind wise I think we will see that early morning North quadrant influence before turning more to the Western quad by late morning.

If anyone of our regulars has an old GoPro at home they would like to donate to us at baliwaves we would be forever grateful. I did have a GoPro 7 but last year the rubber seal covering the on/off button perished and is now not water tight. Drop me a line please
