Hello everyone and thanks for hanging in there with us. The ceremonies are over for a short break. Recommencing on the 3rd for the final Galungan ceremony of Kuningan on the 9th of March. So expect small business to start closing on the 8th as a lot of the Balinese make their way back to their Families. This break will run right through until the 12th with our “Nyepi” day happening on the 11th.
Ok so anyone following my ravings on baliwaves facebook pages this morning would already be pretty well up to date, you just need to flick through our photos. I think our first post was around 6.20am with tide and weather info for today. Anyway wave height over on the East Coast of Bali was a respectable head to double head high range. Surfing conditions were clean as silk with just a light off shore wind that held through until around 10.00am, then tending SSW. When our team first arrived around 8.30am there was just enough water rolling back in over the rock/reef ledge. Crowd wise at that time there were only 15 surfers in the water, when he left still only 20.
Weather wise today lot’s been a funny old day. Early this morning it was raining and the sky black. Hot and clear blue sky at midday. Hot and cloudy right now at 3.30pm. Current info has the temp at 32C, humidity is at 73%. Wind direction is now coming out of the West at 15km/h.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is saying we will start to see more swell arriving and bumping at least a couple of feet through out the day. Sunday should see wave height peak with some solid waves around the island. Wind wise will be light and variable out of the Northern quadrant early before dedicating to the WSW.
Alright then That’s us for the first day of March. We hope you’ve been having an awesome day and that we see you here in Bali this year. Drop us a line and come surf n stay with us to make sure you get your share of perfect waves.
Hope you are well .
