Good morning from Bali to you all and I hope things are running smooth where ever you might be. I’m hoping it’s me that’s feeling good but I think it might be that second cup of coffee I had kicking in. Anyway like I mentioned in our first facebook post earlier, we have another cloudy start to the day here, but who cares. See our baliwaves FB page for a photo of a couple of near perfect left handers.
Early this morning (2nd) the wind had a touch of ENE in it and there were opportunities galore for the early risers. The only thing involved that took away the “no brainer” was the fact the tide was still running out. We knew that breath of Easterly wouldn’t last so Ketut took the run back over to the East coast. I’ve posted a couple of wide angle pics of where he is and it looked pretty good.
Ketuts report at 9.00am was of head to well over head high waves (looks like the swell is showing more on the Southern end of the island). The wind was a light Northerly just making it super glassy but there were 10 surfers in the water already. Our man took a run up to the notorious right hand “Slab” hoping to find some below sea level barrels and tube junkies but it wasn’t quite on.
Weather wise so far today it was a cloudy start here in South Kuta but now at 11.30am the cloud has just about been burnt off and it’s going to be a warm old afternoon. Temp is currently on 30C with high UV rating of 8, humidity is already at 82%. Wind direction is now coming out of the WNW at 3km/h.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.32mtr High at 2.13pm.
Tomorrow’s Surf Forecast is calling for us to wake up to some solid waves at the better know wave magnet locations. This swell is pretty short lived and will peak just around the High tide tomorrow and then start to taper down. Hopefully tapering off slowly.
Ok that’s us from Bali today, keep an eye on our baliwaves Insta and FB pages for random up dates and early info. Keep scrolling below for G-Land discounts, Bali surf accommodation deals and other good stuff.
