Jimmy’s wife, Ayu and family would like to thank all of Jimmy’s friends – old school friends, surfing community friends, travellers to their Bali home, extended family and more – for the wonderful love and support they have provided through the time of his illness & beyond.
Your visits, gentle support and generosity were so valued by Jimmy & sustained him through his difficult journey. His constant worry was for the future & financial security of his family. His greatest wish was that his beautiful children, Ray & Amanda, could continue & complete their education. The knowledge of your generous support of their GoFundMe page to achieve this allowed him peace & comfort in his final days.
Jimmy’s family, as per his request, have asked for your understanding that they will have a private Hindu funeral ceremony, which will be held this coming Monday morning in Newcastle. They hope that you, his great friends, can find opportunities to gather together with others who share the same connections, to remember Jimmy & celebrate his life. They also look forward to the future where they hope to see many of you again at their home in Bali.
There are plans for another ceremony in Bali upon Ayu and family’s return and will update with further details soon.
