Canggu Surf Report – Wednesday 22nd July 2026
Ketut was down around Canggu this morning and reported wave height sitting around 3 foot. The wind was offshore but coming through with a bit of strength, which put some bump and chop on the faces even though it helped hold the shape open.
As the morning went on Ketut mentioned the tide was on the way down, which had the waves running a touch quicker across the reef. The strong offshore held things together for the most part, but that chop made it a little tricky to line up cleanly on the bigger ones. With cloudy skies sitting overhead it never got too bright out there, and the handful of surfers kept picking off the better waves as they came through. Nothing too special with the wind on it, but still worth a look if you were happy to sit and wait for the cleaner sets.
Weather & Tides
Right now it is sitting around 25 with cloudy skies and that strong offshore wind still about, so it stayed a fair bit cooler than your normal clear day. The tide was on the way down when Ketut had his morning check, which had the water draining off the reef. Looking at the schedule, the next high pushes in around 3:02pm before dropping back to a low near 8:44pm this evening, then filling again to a high around 3:36am. Best to time your surf around the cleaner part of the tide while the wind holds offshore.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is a bit more size on the way for Canggu. Thursday should bump up to around 4 to 5 foot, with Friday holding steady near 5 foot and Saturday building again to 5 to 6 foot. Winds are looking variable across those days, so the early mornings will be your best bet before any local wind gets on it. Have a look at the swell forecast for the full picture on the days ahead.
