Keramas Surf Report – Saturday 29th August 2026
Ketut was back over on the East Coast at Keramas on Saturday morning and reported wave height sitting in the 3 to 5 foot range with the bigger ones coming through on the outside. Winds were light offshore from early which kept the faces clean and tidy right across the reef. Crowd wise there were around 15 surfers out at 9am, so there was plenty of room to move around and pick off a few waves without sitting around waiting your turn.
Ketut mentioned it stayed sunny right through the check and the light offshore hung around longer than it usually does. The tide was still draining early which left the reef a little shallow on the inside, but there were plenty of waves getting through and lining up across the reef. There was a bit of period behind the swell so the sets kept coming rather than going quiet for long stretches. Ketut also said there was no jostling for position at any point, which makes a nice change for Keramas on a weekend.
Weather & Tides
Right now it is sitting around 26C with sunny conditions and light winds about, so nothing much to complain about on the weather front. On the tides, the water was draining through the early part of the morning with the next low due around 5:45am, then the high pushing back in near midday before easing away again to a low around 5:54pm. That window while the water is filling back over the reef is normally when Keramas starts to line up better, and that matched what Ketut saw once the tide turned.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is a bit more size on the way. Monday is shaping up around 4 to 6 foot with a longer period behind it, then Tuesday picks up again to 5 to 6 foot which looks like the pick of the run. Wednesday eases back to around 5 foot but there should still be plenty of waves about and it is still worth a look. Winds are looking variable across those days, so early mornings will be the best call before the local wind builds. Check the swell forecast for the full picture.
