Keramas Surf Report – Monday 5th October 2026
Ketut was back over on the East Coast this morning checking Keramas and wave height was sitting around 3 to 4 foot with offshore winds about. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy, with some fun ones coming through on the sets and enough waves getting through in between to keep everyone busy. Ketut mentioned Erin Brooks was out there among the surfers this morning. Crowd wise we didn’t get a head count from Ketut today, but there were still waves to go around for anyone willing to sit and wait for the sets.
The tide was high just before 5:30am, so there was plenty of water over the reef first thing and the waves were lining up nicely across the reef early. As the tide started to drain through the morning the offshore held, and Ketut reported the faces stayed clean right through his time on the beach. The swell is coming in from the south with a long period behind it, so there were a few lulls between sets, but when they came through they were well worth the wait. Keramas can get shallow and a little more testy once the tide gets low, so the higher part of the tide this morning was the pick of it before the reef started to show toward the middle of the day.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting around 24C and Ketut called it a nice day out there with fine weather and light winds early. On the tides today we had a high around 5:30am before the water drained back out to a low at 1:16pm. The next high is due around 8:20pm tonight, and tomorrow should follow a similar pattern with the morning high landing a little later, which should keep enough water over the reef for the early surf.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead, there’s a bit more size on the way. Tuesday should see around 5 foot with a long period behind it, Wednesday is holding in the 5 to 6 foot range and Thursday is picking up a little to around 6 foot. Winds are looking variable through that stretch, so early mornings should be the cleanest before any local wind builds. Keramas will have a bit more push to it with that extra size, so pick your tide carefully and check the swell forecast for the full picture before heading over.
