Keramas Surf Report – Monday 12th October 2026
Ketut was back over on the East Coast at Keramas today and reported wave height sitting in the 3 to 5 foot range with a few bigger ones pushing through on the sets. The wind was light offshore when he got there, which kept the faces clean and had the right lining up across the reef. Crowd wise there were around 10 surfers out at the start, so plenty of waves to go around early on, and it was a sunny day with no rain about.
The tide had just turned and was starting to fill in when Ketut arrived, so the inside was still a little shallow early before the extra water began to help the waves line up better. Ketut mentioned the bigger sets were standing up well out on the reef and running down the line, with a decent gap between groups so the surfers stayed spread across the peak rather than all sitting on the one spot. The swell behind it is a long range south swell with around 14 seconds between waves, which is why the sets had a bit of push and the bigger ones were a clear step up from the average wave. The wind stayed light offshore the whole time Ketut was there with no sign of it swinging, so surfing conditions stayed clean and tidy and the crowd stayed manageable.
Weather & Tides
Right now it’s sitting around 28C with sunny skies, light winds and no rain about, and the water is a comfortable 27C so boardshorts are all you need. On the tides today, the low was at 4:42pm this afternoon with the water now pushing back in over the reef towards a high around 11pm tonight. It then drains out to a low around 5:25am tomorrow morning before filling back in to a high around 11:40am on Tuesday, then eases back again to a low just after 5pm. That filling tide through the Tuesday morning window should give Keramas enough water over the reef for the early push.
Surf Forecast
Looking ahead there is more size on the way. Tuesday is showing 6 to 8 foot from the south with around 15 seconds between waves, so expect a solid step up from today and a few bigger ones keeping surfers honest out the back. Wednesday eases back to 5 to 6 foot and Thursday settles around the 5 foot mark as the swell slowly backs off. Winds are looking variable across the next few days, so early mornings should be the cleanest before any local wind builds, and with the tide filling in through the morning Keramas should handle the extra size well.
