BALI SURF & WEATHER REPORT
Bali, 3rd May 2020
Firstly we do know from first hand experience here in Bali with absolutely no support other than friends and family. We would also like to offer a free promotional service to any other small outfits / businesses that are surf related here in Indonesia and Australia. So in turn we have told all our sponsors that we will be waving any fee’s until things are getting back to normal again. Please contact us to see if your eligible for free promotiuon on baliwaves. We are surfers doing this for our fellow surfers and will hopefully continuing to do our thing for many years to come.
Hi everyone and thanks again for dropping by the baliwaves. I’ve had another dig into my archived photos and Airport Left happened to be at the top of the folder so Airport Left it is. This gallery happened to have a few friends of mine in it so I was stoked to edit a few up and give you a look. Most of these photos in my archives I haven’t seen since I took the photos. this one is from 2010 also.
Well the days keep rocketing by here in Bali believe it or not. The governing bodies here in Bali extended our beach lock down with surfing and swimming off limits through until May 29, wel at least we are on the back nine now. Hopefully they will open them back up for surfing at least. Even my local Kuta Reef has been now fully locked down. I had to take a trip down to the beach on the 1st of the month. A friend of mine transferred some money into my account and asked me to pass it onto a couple of his good friends. The usual low barricade that the.. westerners had been jumping over had been built up and un passable. But with a new hinged gate for us fishermen to use.
Weather wise it’s been absolute standard perfect Bali weather. Hot day time temps in the low 30’s on the Celsius scale with fresh off shore ESE wind non stop.
On the Swell forecast front well currently it’s pretty small according to my trusted sauces.. But according to the best swell forecast on the internet StormSurf it looks like another solid swell should bump into Bali and surrounding islands some time tomorrow. This swell is showing more SW direction so our West Coast will be lighting up. It should keep delivering un ridden waves until another swell rides in on it’s back around the 8th plus or minus. Further out the Indian Ocean is alive with swell pouring around the corner from South Africa, en route to Indonesia. May has always been a good month for swell and so far it’s living up to it’s rep.
Special thanks dept goes out to the handful of friends that have kicked in some dollars to help my family and I to keep some food on the table and the lights on. I can’t thank you all enough.
Our Surf Fit Guru Mr Clive Rodell has also put together an essential Fitness manual that breaks down into layman terms how to keep your body in tip top condition that will keep you surfing well into retirement. He also goes in-depth into how to manage and fix all those niggling injuries that tend to accumulate. So check it out and ask Clive for more information and how to get your hands on it. https://www.baliwaves.com/2020/05/must-have-stretch-exercise-and-body-repair-manuals-by-surf-fit-guru-clive-rodell/
