There’s still some nice sized waves breaking all around the island of Bali right now. Yesterday the 13th on the Outer Reefs of Tuban Middle Reef was picking up some solid 3-4ft+ waves on the afternoon low tide. While Kuta reef and Airport Left were delivering some quality rides in the chest to over head class. The early morning calm and variable wind also opened a window for Airport Right to start peeling off some long rides.
Today the 14th and we hada feeling that the early morning variable wind, mostly Northerly this morning would be blowing off shore at the ever popular Keramas. We loaded up the car pre dawn and pulled up near the old deserted Warung Cetu around 6.45am with a straight into the barrel view of Keramas. First up it was disappointing to see 22 surfers in the water but after watching for 5 minutes we were convinced it was well worth the drive.
Wave height was a super clean 3-4ft with a few bigger double head high set waves thrown into the mix. Lots of tube rides and nice to see Keramas going off. Stand out local surfer was Darma Yasa Bleronk, you should be able to spot him in our gallery. “Blerong” also rides a Native surfboards / Boardriders surf shop, Echo Beach (Canggu)
Weather wise today it was hot a sweaty standing on the black sand this morning. Right now at 2.30pm the temp is on 30C with the Humidity at 77%. Early morning North wind gave way to the ESE Tradewind around 9.30am. Currently ESE at 12-15knot.
The next tide to day will be a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low at 4.06pm. We also have a Full Moon rising tonight and that’s a good thing in more than 1 way if I remember correctly from my younger years.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is looking pretty much the same as today with maybe just a slight drop in wave height.
