Hello everyone and it’s so good to be and feeling just short off 100% again. After a couple of nights of cold shivers and light headedness. It’s been awhile between tropical fevers for me and this one went for a solid 48hrs. It feels right now to be sitting here in front of my PC in my standard work uniform of pajama shorts and no shirt. Well actually yesterday I was feeling pretty good and made the run down to Uluwatu, and I’m glad I did.
We never arrived down at Uluwatu until around 7.15am after one of my friends ended up leaving his phone on the counter where we stopped to get a juice. So within minutes of our destination we had to turn around and go back in the hope Eddy’s phone was still there. We weren’t real confidant, but had to try right. Fairy tale ending with the staff handing him his phone as soon as he entered the Circle K mini market.
Wave height down at Ulu yesterday was a still a solid 3-5ft with a few 6 ft sets hitting the Main Peak. The tide was getting close to the midway mark of a solid 2.6mtr High and the wind was light off shore out of the East for the first hour or two. The Main Peak and Temple sections were turning on some perfect waves and some re hot surfing going down. But as usual still plenty of under experienced surfers creating havoc in a very dangerous way.
We hung out till just after 11.00am and by the then the wind was starting to turn lightly to the South. I did go down to the beach for a late afternoon surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban and wave height on the afternoon Low was still hitting Middle Reef in the 4ft class. The wind was by that stage fluxing around to the N-NW-W.
Today the 17th and after some pretty heavy early morning rain we have had a mostly clear blue sky in the South Kuta area. Looking to the South there are still some big clouds moving through and maybe a threat of some more rain yet to come. Wave height on the Outer reefs has dropped right off with my midday surf check only showing 1-3ft waves between Kuta reef and Airport left.
Weather wise right now at1.40pm it’s a very warm and windy 30C with the Humidity on 79%. The wind is quite fresh out of the ESE-SE at 10-14knot.
The next tide today will be another reef exposing 0.1mtr Low at 6.19pm
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for a slight bump in wave height on a stronger period. Along with more fresh and gusty E-ESE-SE wind. There is also a real chance of more over night rain.
