Hi folks and welcome back to the one and only original Bali surf report website. Yesterday the 14th and we knew there was only going to be one option for a wave here in Bali. Maybe Ulu would have had something as well but the learner / surf school craze would have made that option just too dangerous. So we hit the road long before sun up and made our way up the coast to Balian. There had been little to nop rain the last 36hrs so we were confident that the water would be clear and safe.
We arrived up at Dekis Warung at 7.00am to find some fun little peaks in the head high range (photo gallery). Surfing conditions were clean and glassy and the water was clear and clean. Crowd wise it was also pretty good with a small crew of mostly learners, maybe 15 – 20 in the whole set up. With a big 2.5mtr High tide already starting to fill in the morning session dealt us the best waves and conditions. Althugh there were still some fun little peaks breaking when we hit the road for home at 11.30am. It was a nice drive both ways with minimum traffic and great company.
Today the 15th and our 7.00am surf check was only showing 1-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At the time the tide was just starting to run up and the wind was variable out of the Northern quadrant. But our man Ketut has just gone down for another swell check to see if our new system is on track. Just now at 10.40am Ketut said wave height is now in the 3-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Looks like the wave models are spot on and if indeed they are we should see some bigger waves hitting Bali by later this afternoon.
Weather wise today it’s been mostly warm and sunny. Currently the mercury is on 28C and the Humidity is at 86%. Wind direction is now fresh out of the ESE at 12-15knt.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.4mtr High at 11.51am.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for plenty of swell and more suited to experienced surfers. Light and variable wind early before our ESE Tradewind kicks in late morning.
Ok friends I’ve also loaded up a report with photos and news fresh out of the Jungle thanks to Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp and our man on the ground Sarge. Once I’ve got all this admin stuff sorted and had some lunch I think we are heading down to Uluwatu to see what’s happening down there. So stay tuned for more news and views from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Feel free to drop us an email if your interested in taking advantage of the situation at G-land this year. We can also offer you a little bit of extra incentive with a discount at Joyo’s G-land Surf Camp.
