Another wave filled couple of days just gone past. On the 9th we settled for easy waves, scenery and comfort down at Hendra warung on the bukit. As it shows in the bulk of today’s photo gallery (lefts) wave height was in the 2-4ft class and a few nice waves peeling off if you knew how to pick them. The wind, was again a little light and variable and I’m sure it would have been a lot better with a good stiff off shore ESE Tradewind on it. But no mater what the waves are like it’s always a nice day down there.
Today the 10th and after sussing out the weather charts I though my crew would head back to a sometimes crowded sometimes uncrowded spot. If your on the ball at this place you can usually score it to yourself, if you wait for “the season” you can expect 20-50 surfers in the water. Today we had it all to ourselves at 3-5ft with a light off shore that ended up glassing off. It wasn’t until around 10.30 that the ESE wind kicked in and by then my team had a solid 2 hrs under their belts and ready for some breakfast.
Weather wise today it was nice morning with mostly blue sky where we were. Right now at 4.15pm the temperature is still a warm 29C here in South Kuta / Tuban, Humidity is at 80%. Wind direction is currently SE-SSE at 10-12knt.
Tomorrows Surf Forecast is calling for wave height to be slowly tapering off and an increase in wind strength out of the ESE.
Ok then friends of Bali that’s about it for me right now but we will be heading back to familiar surfing grounds tomorrow so stay tuned to our social media on Facebook and Instagram through out the morning for more news and views on Bali’s surfing and weather conditions.
Breaking News Department. Well I don’t know if all of you are up to date on this but as of 2 days ago the price of Petrol increased by 30% in one jump. So looking at the big picture with Bali being a small island we can expect the price of everything to follow suit, and I do mean absolutely everything. It’s going to be very hard on a lot of people especially just after living through the pandemic. The first of the increases was LPG, our 5kg refils have gone from Rp135K now at 230K for the same fill. 95% of Indonesia runs on gas for cooking so that’s going to hurt everyone.
Shots are great as always Slim, but those more spiritual ones were very well done and really captured the moment. Cheers!
Thanks Tom !!!
