OK so here's some more photos from last weekend. The surf on the Sunday was up in size, hitting around the 3-4ft mark. It was a bit of a washing machine and making conditions pretty difficult for the surfers in the water. The Kirra Team Challange wrapped up around 1:30pm with Kirra coming out on top. There was plenty of guys in the water enjoying the waves that were on offer. … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – March 12 2008
Ok guys here's a few more photos I promised you from the Saturday's session at D'Bah. As I said I don't get the chance during the week to get down and take photos (or surf for that matter) at the moment due to work commitments. I will however try and make make up for it by sending through some fresh updated photos from each weekends action after work so check in and see what I … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – March 8 2008
Today I was up a 4am and headed down to my old hunting ground for waves and meet up with my good friend. There was not alot of swell and after an initial surf check decieded to head down to the beach break that had some nice little 2ft peaks coming through. Its still a semi-secret spot so there's no photos but it was good to surf with my local crew, free from hassles and agro. … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – March 3 2008
Ok These latest photos were taken on Sunday 2nd March, it was round three of competition. Conditions were very clean and waves ranged in the 2-3ft mark. All day the wind stayed out of the south and offshore. Competiton was delayed till the tide dropped enough but what a day of competition it was. There was some hot surfing and there was a couple of surfers who were looking … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – February 27 2008
Round two of competition got under way today at snapper rocks. I was thinking it was going to be a lay day, but waking to light winds and 3ft waves meant they got under way about 7:30am. The rain has held off even with overcast skys suggesting rain, but weather was still very hot, just like the competition in the water. There was some great surfing by the guys, with standouts … [Read more...]

Talk about commitment guys, here I was standing in the rain trying to hold an umbrella, line up the shots and keep dry all at the same time. It is rain rain rain here today and definelty not the best for photos. The organisers of the qicky pro decided to send the boys out for an expression session. The waves were in the 1-2ft range with the odd almost 3ft wave hitting the … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – February 25 2008
I made my way to the beach about 7am this morning. There was very little wind and conditions looked ideal. Getting down to D'Bah the water was smooth and wave hieght was actually a little up on yesterday. Today it was the girls turn and they definelty showed style and guts on some of the moves they were going for. Waves were in the 3ft+ range and were pretty consistent untill … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – February 23 2008
What a change a couple of days makes hey. Headed down to the beach this morning about 6am and conditions were just not happening. Howling nor-easter and next to no swell. OK well none compared to what we have had the last few days. There was still the odd 3ft wave hitting D'Bah but it was all over the place and Snapper was a non-event. I thought that the quicky pro would be a … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – February 22 2008
Ok well it was a different day out there today with blue sky and clean waves. The swell had dropped a touch on average but there was still some solid waves hitting snapper rocks. I got down there around 2pm and spent the afternoon taking photos and watching some hot surfing. To be honest there was a better bank down towards Greenmount/Kirra but I was hoping to spot a few of … [Read more...]
Bali Readers Surf Report – February 20 2008
OK well the weather made me a fool out of me. I was on my way home after stopping at the internet cafe to load up my latest report from Snapper. In the meantime the rain had decieded to clear away, all within an hour. A complete change around from the mornings conditions. Anyway I decieded to go an try and get a few more photos. Snapper was now on a low tide and was definelty … [Read more...]
